Day Dream *Pion*

Hello friends! Just a quick post today to share a layout I made using Pion Design papers. The new Grandma’s School Book Collection can be used in so many ways!!! This time around I went with the light pink and super dark plum. I’ve done lots of layers and some distressing. Pion papers are wonderful for distressing. They have that thickness to them so they don’t tear to easily. Just another reason I love Pion pattern paper!! I hope that my layout will inspire you!

Antiquities Second Reveal

Hello all!! Today I wanted to reveal two more of my layouts using the June Antiquities Kit. I loved working with this kit, so many goodies to chose from!! I tired to pull different color combos from my photos to get stylish looks for each page.
As time goes by
I treated the Dusty Attic clock first with Distress crackle paint. Before it was completely dry I misted with Perfect Pearls Gold. Heated it a bit and rub some off using a damp paper towel. For the final touch, I dab gold stickles here and there with my finger. The gorgeous butterflies are from my Etsy shop.
Harley and me
I adore this photo of Clea with her new friend,Harley!  Over on the right side I messed up using a rub-on. LOL!! So, I just scraped some of the design off and torn the paper back more. Easy fix and I think it gives it more of a distressed look :)

Thanks so much for the visit!!

I gave most of the flowers a frosted look using white gesso to match better with the paper colors.
I made the banner using  s Spellbinders die and Pion letter cut out sheet.

Swirlydoos' June Kit Reveal Blog Hop

Welcome to Swirlydoos' June Kit, Antiquities, Reveal Blog Hop Block Party!!
If you came here from Lynn's Blog, then you are on the right track. If not, go back to Swirlydoos' blog and start from there. We have some amazing projects for you to see today and as a bonus we have a very special guest joining in the fun and offering a prize!!

I've done three layouts for this reveal. I love the Bo-Bunny papers and all the gorgeous embellishments. The colors are so rich and rustic!
This is a sneak peak for the Swirlyhues palette put together by our talented Vicky! You get to see the whole Storyboard soon....

This is one of my favorite pictures of my dad and me. Since moving to Washignton, I haven't seen him in eight months. I miss him so much. And with Father's Day coming soon it makes it harder to adjust being so far away. If you're reading this, I love you, Daddy!

One of a Kind Dad

You can find the oh so pretty matching butterflies at my Etsy Shop.

This page is based the June exclusive sketch. After, what? Eight years, I busted out my eyelets...lol!! I was able to line up the holes easily because of a handy tool called "Eyelet Friend". When fibers and eyelets were a "must have" years ago they made a eyelet placement template with lined up holes. I'm not sure you can find the template anymore, but the company name is Timeless Touches.

We took the kids horseback riding for they very first time. Let me tell you, they are natural riders!! Within half an hour the girls were already galloping!! Now, to buy our own horse...hehee!!!
Bandit

Isn't this sketch amazing!!!???

Okay, I so think my hubby looks like a big dork in this picture...lol!! I think he was in the middle of saying something. But, I thought Delilah looked soooo cute and had to scrap it!! She's such a Daddy's girl! His little darling laying her head on his shoulder....awwwww!!
#1 Dad
These butterflies are also from my Etsy Shop. Although I changed the blue color a bit since I already had them made. The blue edges were a lighter shade than the blue in the layout. I needed it darker. So, what I did was I took a small brush dipped it Juniper Glimmermist and painted the edges. Worked like a charm and I really like the results!

You have until midnight, eastern time, on Sunday, June 10th to complete the hop. Winners will be announced on the Swirlydoos Blog on June 11th. In order to qualify to win here is what you need to do:
