Pion Silent Night Projects

Happy Halloween!! I wish I had something festive to post today, but as always, time does not permit. Instead I'm sharing my last two projects for Pion. I respectively step down form my DT position. Anyhoo, I used the Silent Night Collection for both. One using blues and the other pink.

Winter Wishes
Over at Swirlydoos we  have a challenge going on called Splatter or Drip with me. I never tried the drips before and I love the effect. So, I thought I'd try it out on this layout for a melting ice look. I think it turned out okay! It was a lot easier to do that I thought! I handmade the butterflies to match. You can find them at my Etsy Shop.
Cupcake Gift Card Holder
I couple of years ago while browsing on youtube I found the tutorial to make this cupcake. You can find the tutorial HERE. I instantly fell in love, but never got around to doing it. Until now!! I wanted to do a shabby chic style and the pink Silent Night papers were just the right tone.
I have this up for grabs at my etsy shop if anyone is interested :) You can find it HERE
Thanks for taking a peek!!! If you're going out tonight to Trick or Treat be safe!!!

Swirlydoos 2nd Reveal Belle Chanson Kit

Hello fellow bloggers! Just a quick post today to reveal my last two projects for the beautiful  Swirlydoos Belle Chanson Kit.

Beautiful
So, I had a whole different idea in my head when I was putting this together. I wanted to do just a cream and white color scheme. But, ended up adding the black and bits of blues. It kinda bothers me because I usually only use three colors. LOL! Stepping out of my comfort zone for sure!

Swirlydoos is sponsoring  a sketch for Sketch Inspiration.  I'm usually not a card maker, but when I saw the sketch I thought, "card". I used a bunch of my scraps from the Swirlydoos October Kit.

Until next time.....

Pion Silent Night Collection

Hello everyone! I was so excited when I got my DT box from Pion. I seen the Silent Night Collection as a preview and thought the papers so pretty. But, seeing them in person.....omg!! Gorgeous! I jumped right in using the pink shades. So, today I share with you a layout and an altered item. Enjoy!
Visions of Sugar Plums
The angels on the papers are soooo sweet! I knew I wanted to use at least one. I used  a Peek-a-Boo Design to get just the two showing. The butterflies are an item I sell in my Etsy Shop. You can find that HERE. The butterflies are made white. To give them color I used Distress Ink and added some glittery Smooch.
Altered Book Cover
I got an old small hardcover book at a Thrift Store. Basically, I removed the pages from the cover. Then glued all the pages together. When those were drying, I made the cover. Once dried I glued the pages back into the book and and adhered the covers to the pages so it can't be opened. Last but not least...embellished the outside! I think it turned out really cute!! :)

Thanks for taking a peek!
