November Blue Fern Studios Projects
Hello there, scrappy friends! I can't believe that Christmas is almost here!! Divulging in the Christmas spirit I have 3 projects to share using the new Vintage Christmas Collection.
This page is based on the November Sketch. I used the Deck the Halls paper as my background and left over scraps of the Magical paper for the layering. I used a card from the Greeting Card paper as my photo mat. For the French Iron Works and Winter Title Magical I painted with gesso, lightly sprayed with Cotton Candy mist, and used Phoenix glitter for that sparkle.
Winter pages are always fun to make because I love the sparkle! For this page I used Wonderland for my background paper. I did some masking and used Sky and Cool Mint mist. I also used the Greeting Card paper(love the sheet....a must have) and Auld Lang Syne. The chipboard pieces, Holiday Frame and Framed Winter words, were painted with gesso and misted. The Icicle Butterflies can be found at my Etsy Shop. Perfect for those winter pages!
Instead of another layout I wanted to do something different. So, I made this pocket using a glassine bag. I cut out a bunch I tags from the Greeting cards paper, made a larger tag with Noel paper and tucked them inside the pocket. I used the Wild Flourish bundle for the front of the pocket and the Winter Title Noel. I used Leaf and Cotton Candy mist.
This is the pocket without the tags inside. I used the Noel Papers to cover the bag.
Thanks stopping by!

More with Scarlet Elegance
Hi everyone! I'm sharing two more layouts I created using the Swirlydoos November Collection, Scarlet Elegance. This is just a lovely collection! I loved working with it! Check out the Swirlydoos Store for available kits and add-ons.
I find it so hard not to cover the pretty designs on the paper. With this layout I decided to do a small design in the center so the top left and bottom right flowers can be seen. All I did was cut strips from different pattern papers and then layered.
I couldn't wait to use the stencil designed by Gabrielle Pollaco. I've always been a huge fan of her work. So, I was so excited to get the stencil on the Medium- Add-on. I used the crackle paste, also in the Medium Add-on, on the brick wall design. Then, worked my design around that. I gutted the center of my papers to alternate in layering.

We have some absolutely beautiful scrapbook projects for you to see today !!
This kit is so pretty and elegant! Just my style!! For my first two projects I made layouts using two totally contrasting colors...one light...one dark! I hope you like!
So, for my first layout I had to jump in using the soft colors. I usually don't scrap using gold, I prefer silver, but the Prima lace is so dang pretty! I cut it in half and layered on top of each other tucked under layers of paper. The Medium Add-on has Mica Powder in Gold Opal and I used that with water to accentuate the masking. I used one of my newest butterflies, Blush Butterfly Embellishments, from my Etsy Shop. I needed a lighter butterfly and these were perfect!
Here I did some more distress layering and masking. Using the Pearl-ex from the Medium Add-on I darkened some spots on the masking to make it pop. The leave vine is a wood embellie from the Embellishment Add-on. I using some crackle paste for texture and just colored it with some mist.

This month for the sketch I decided to make a canvas. I first treated the canvas with some white gesso. Onced dried I did and extra thick layer of the Texture Crackle Paste that came in the Medium Add-on. Leave it do dry overnight for best results. From there I did some misting and masking. Then began my layers.
