I'm loving Blue Fern Studios new collection, Autumn Anthology.  Lots of pretty colors to work with!

I have to say this is my favorite paper from this collection. I didn't want to cover it up to much or over distress. I used the mask that came in the medium-add on and the Stone Effect dimensional medium on the chipboard piece. The dragonflies are from my Etsy shop. I just changed them up by removing the flower from the center and adding pearls.

Here I wanted to work with the pretty blue and peach papers. I did some fussing cutting of the tea cup from the collage paper. I really love to add doilies to my layouts. Because they're white you can color them to your liking.  I used the Blue Fern Studio Mist that came in the Medium-Add on.

I did lots of layering here. I gutted out the center of the papers them layered them on top of each other. Between layers I tucked doilies and trim.

This is the Ceiling Tile from the Embellishment Add-on. I painted it with gesso then misted it. I used the BoBunny die cut pieces that also came in the  Embellishment Add-on as my main focal point.

This is my take on the October sketch. We got the little sun catchers in the main kit but I wanted to shabby them up. I painted it with gesso then misted it with the Blue Fern Studio Mist that came in the Medium-Add on. I also misted the Petaloo flowers from the Flower-Add on with a light pink.
Here is the sketch. Be sure to play along in our sketch challenge. Anyone can enter. More details HERE.

You have until midnight, eastern time, October 23rd to complete the hop. Winners will be announced on the Swirlydoos Blog on 10/25.  In order to qualify to win here is what you need to do:

Blue Fern Studios October Projects

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing my BFS projects for the month of Octobers. I was so excited to get my design team package. Why you ask!??! Because it was packed with the new Vintage Christmas Collection. Also included was matching chipboard, mist and glitter! Happy Day!

I started this page with masking and misting the background. Then just layered. I painted the winter page dangles and use the new glitter. It's ultra fine and a beautiful color!

Products used:
Noel
Magical Stripe
Deck the Halls
Greeting Cards
Winter Page Dangles
Phoenix Glitter
Cotton Candy Mist

This layout is based on the October Sketch. Again I did some masking and misting for the background. I painted all the chippy pieces with gesso then added some texture and glitter.
 Products used:
Auld Land Syne
Wonderland
Winter Page Dangles
Winter Title
Let it Snow
Snowflake Frame Square
Wintermint Mist
Sky Mist

This paper is to pretty to cover up. So I went for a simple design in the middle. For the chipboard pieces I painted then mist with the wintermint mist. Then used the new glitter! So sparkly!
 Products used:
Magical
Greeting Cards
Holiday Vine
Holly Sprigs
Wintermint Mist
Caribbean Glitter

As always you can find the butterflies and dragonflies at my shop, Little Scrap Shop on Etsy.
Thanks for taking a peek!

Blue Fern Studios October Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone! Our tradition is to begin each month with a fresh dose of inspiration in the form of sketch challenge.   Here is this month's sketch, designed by the very talented Michele Singh.

Show us how you will interpret the sketch.
One lucky winner, selected by a random draw, will receive a prize package
of Blue Fern Studios chipboard!

In addition, we will also select 3 (or more) layouts to feature.

We have just a few simple rules to follow if you would like to participate in our sketch challenge:

1.) Feel free to interpret the sketch as you please by means of taking it as-is or
flipping/turning/mirroring it to suit your needs, but please make sure your layout resembles the sketch.

2). Please note that you can do whatever type of project you please - a layout, card,
canvas, altered item- whatever suits your mood and style!
We would love to see the different ways our sketch can be used.

3.) You must use at least one piece of Blue Fern Studios chipboard OR use Blue Fern Studios paper on your project. Please note that you do not need to use the pieces featured in the sketch
- use whatever suits your fancy! You can find the store nearest you HERE.
 {Do not use any other brand of chipboard on your project, please!}

4.) Upload your project using the Inlinkz tool on  BFS BLOG by midnight EST on October 31, 2015

We look forward to seeing how you use our sketch and Blue Fern products!
