Swirlydoos 2nd Reveal

Hello friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! This year Delilah's birthday fell on Thanksgiving. So instead of pumpkin pie we had birthday cake...lol!
Dream, Love
With the first reveal, I felt that my two layouts didn't have my usual "fill the page" style. So, with this page I did layer upon layer and lots of pretty embellies! The butterflies are my newest addition to my Etsy Shop.
Life
My first layout with Hot Air Balloons. At first I thought they weren't my thing. Now, I like them..hehe! They are a perfect embellie for a more masculine page. I didn't want to get to girly, so I held off on adding butterflies and tons of flowers.

And here is just a quick card I put together with left over scraps. I'm really trying to improve my cardmaking skills.
Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek! I really appreciate you taking the time!

Until my next post......

Smile
For my first layout I used the sketch made exclusive for Swirlydoos by Begga.
As always, you can find the butterflies at my Etsy Shop.

Here is the fabulous sketch. Be sure to join us for our Sketch Challenge over at Swirlydoos.
This month it's my turn to do Anatomy of a Layout. You can find step by step instructions how I made this page HERE. The great thing about Anatomy of layout is it's only done with the main kit.
Cherish

I made this OTP project using the Technique kit. It was my first time using Gelatos...so easy and fun. I love the way this turned out and plan to make more OTP projects. I'm so disappointed because this picture does nothing for what the project looks like in person.
You have until midnight, eastern time, on Wednesday, 11/14 to complete the hop. Winners will be announced on the Swirlydoos Blog on Thursday 11/15. In order to qualify to win here is what you need to do:

Pion Silent Night Projects

Happy Halloween!! I wish I had something festive to post today, but as always, time does not permit. Instead I'm sharing my last two projects for Pion. I respectively step down form my DT position. Anyhoo, I used the Silent Night Collection for both. One using blues and the other pink.

Winter Wishes
Over at Swirlydoos we  have a challenge going on called Splatter or Drip with me. I never tried the drips before and I love the effect. So, I thought I'd try it out on this layout for a melting ice look. I think it turned out okay! It was a lot easier to do that I thought! I handmade the butterflies to match. You can find them at my Etsy Shop.
Cupcake Gift Card Holder
I couple of years ago while browsing on youtube I found the tutorial to make this cupcake. You can find the tutorial HERE. I instantly fell in love, but never got around to doing it. Until now!! I wanted to do a shabby chic style and the pink Silent Night papers were just the right tone.
I have this up for grabs at my etsy shop if anyone is interested :) You can find it HERE
Thanks for taking a peek!!! If you're going out tonight to Trick or Treat be safe!!!

Swirlydoos 2nd Reveal Belle Chanson Kit

Hello fellow bloggers! Just a quick post today to reveal my last two projects for the beautiful  Swirlydoos Belle Chanson Kit.

Beautiful
So, I had a whole different idea in my head when I was putting this together. I wanted to do just a cream and white color scheme. But, ended up adding the black and bits of blues. It kinda bothers me because I usually only use three colors. LOL! Stepping out of my comfort zone for sure!

Swirlydoos is sponsoring  a sketch for Sketch Inspiration.  I'm usually not a card maker, but when I saw the sketch I thought, "card". I used a bunch of my scraps from the Swirlydoos October Kit.

Until next time.....

Pion Silent Night Collection

Hello everyone! I was so excited when I got my DT box from Pion. I seen the Silent Night Collection as a preview and thought the papers so pretty. But, seeing them in person.....omg!! Gorgeous! I jumped right in using the pink shades. So, today I share with you a layout and an altered item. Enjoy!
Visions of Sugar Plums
The angels on the papers are soooo sweet! I knew I wanted to use at least one. I used  a Peek-a-Boo Design to get just the two showing. The butterflies are an item I sell in my Etsy Shop. You can find that HERE. The butterflies are made white. To give them color I used Distress Ink and added some glittery Smooch.
Altered Book Cover
I got an old small hardcover book at a Thrift Store. Basically, I removed the pages from the cover. Then glued all the pages together. When those were drying, I made the cover. Once dried I glued the pages back into the book and and adhered the covers to the pages so it can't be opened. Last but not least...embellished the outside! I think it turned out really cute!! :)

Thanks for taking a peek!

More from Swirlydoos Inspiration Kit

Hi everyone! My post for today is two more layouts I made with the September Swirlydoos Kit "Inspiration". This kit is so amazing and versatile. As you will see in my two pages.
Live Free
Here I went grunge using lots of mist and distressing. I love my brick wall mask!! Last time I used it on my "Tuff" layout I used gesso. With the gesso it worked more as a resist. This time I used molding paste, which kept some of the color and gives more dimension.
A Perfect Day
Here I went more of a shabby romantic feel. I'm totally in love with this picture of Elijah and Delilah! So damn adorable!!! I made the pocket from the cut-out on the backside of the Prima Romance Novel paper. In the little pocket I had them write a note to each other. Saved there for all time :) I used some of the resin from the tech kit to made the little oval charm. At first I was a bit nervous to use it. But once I watched Lynn and Tiffany's (our Educational gals) videos, it was cake. You can find the videos HERE. The butterflies are from my Etsy shop. They match perfectly to the colors of this page.

Well, I hope you enjoyed your visit!

Thanks for stopping by!
