Pion DT Layouts using Grandma's School Book

Hello friends! Are you ready for the long weekend?!? This is the last weekend of the kids summer. They start back to school on Tuesday. It's kinda bitter sweet..lol!! I love having them home but sometimes I just need my alone time. Anyhoo, I wanted to get these layouts up. These are my DT projects for Pion using the Grandma's School Book Collection. Two totally different color schemes from the same paper collection....love it!

Natures Beauty
When I scrap pictures of my daughter, Clea, they are usually with nautral colors. She's been my nature girl since before she could walk. So, I always pull blues and greens. I used a large Dusty Attic chippy. I painted it white and used a technique that my dear friend Paulien uses. After the paint dries she smudges puffy paint and heats. I love the texture look it makes!! The butterflies are an item from my Etsy shop. They matched perfectly and brought out a pop of dark against the light!

 Follow your heart
For this page I used the lighter shades of pink and yellow. I wanted a clean design, so I held back from my usual distressing. The photo corners are an item I have in my Etsy shop. They are made white, I just used Victorian Velvet distress ink and sprayed with Perfect Pearls. Once dried I added a bit of white paint to the top.

The new Christmas Collection has been revealed!! Please visit Pion's Blog for more info.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Two gorgeous layouts - what a versatile collection. The Pion papers are just amazing, and what you've created with them here is simply beautiful!
