This month I will be doing the Anatomy of A Layout. Except it's not a layout at all but an Off The Page Project. Using items only in the main kit I created this altered embroidery hoop. You can find the tutorial on Snapguide.
This is my take on the sketch. I first started with doing a punched background. And then just layered and distressed from there. For the top paper, I first did some wet distressing. Then added a clear coat of gesso before adding all my mediums. To give a soft water color look I sprayed the paper with water them added mist and paints. You can find the butterflies at my store, LittleScrapShop on Etsy.
