We have some absolutely beautiful scrapbook projects for you to see today !!
For my first layout I used the Acetate Paper as the background over a pattern paper. I used lots of pretty flowers from the flower add-on and a few embellies from the Embellishment add-on. I love to use doilies for layering. They are so easy to color. For this doily I used some light mist and the Mica powder from the Medium add-on.The Sea Foam Butterflies are from my Etsy Shop.

I really loved the design on the Gear pattern paper, but it was a bit bright. So I did some white washing with gesso  then some masking. When using clock chippies I usually cut off the piece that is tucked behind something and place the other piece in a different spot. It's a good way to getting more use out of your chippies. The clock are from the Embellishment Add-on. One of my favorite Blue Fern Studio pieces. The Teal Dragonflies are one of my newest dragonfly embellishments.

I used the softer colors for this page. But wanted to pop third color. So I used my Mint Chip butterflies to do just that! The Prima Metal Pieces that come in the Main Kit are awesome! I painted them with gesso and misted to better match my layout.

Did some paper layering with 3 of the pattern papers. Plus some pieces cut from the Hour Glass paper. When I die cut  from a thin pattern paper(like I did here with the Clock paper) I usually also cut the same design from a box. This way when you layering them they aren't  so flimsy.   Here I used my Sepia Butterflies. Another great match!

This is my take on the sketch. Went masculine here, something that's hard for me to do. Used lots of goodies from the Medium Add-on.

Here is the sketch. Be sure to play along in our sketch challenge. Anyone can enter.

BFS Autumn Anthology September Layouts

Happy Saturday, friends! I was so excited to get the new paper collection, Autumn Anthology. They're designed beautifully! I created three layouts that I'm going to share with you today.
Purple is my favorite color and I love it paired with a soft green! I used the Gazebo paper as my background. But behind that I used Parfumerie as an added layer. Before I got started I used BFS new mist, Leaf, in the center. I love the mist....has great coverage and is light.

I used both Quatrefoil Garden Panels. I painted them with gesso then used some stucco paste for texture. For a bit added color as I used a light coat of the green mist.

I painted the blossom branches and lightly tinted them with the mist. The Dragonflies can be found at my Etsy Shop.

I have never scrapped this color combo before(well as least not that I can remember) but I have to say the blue and peach are just gorgeous!!! This is my take on the September Sketch. I used the La Ballon paper as my background and Mercantile as a mat. On the background I did some light brushing with gesso then used the Sky Mist and Persimmon Mist as splats. I randomly did some stamping with the Essential Texture Stamp.

I used the Layering Stems and Organic Vines as my foliage. This time used about three coats of the Leaf Mist to get full coverage.

I used pieces of the Screen Panel as a bottom layer. The Peacock Butterflies are also from my Etsy Shop.

The Parfumerie Paper is so pretty! I used it for my background and Penmanship for a mat. I used the bricks stamp for the Essential Texture set.

I used both the Iron Work Edges. I painted them with gesso, Lightly misted with brown, then used Stucco paste. Once dried I rubbed some distress ink on the raised parts of the stucco.
I did the same for the Floral Lattice Bits.

 Thanks for taking a peek!

We would love to see the different ways our sketch can be used.

More Layouts with the Swirlydoos August Kit.

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing my latest layouts I made using the August Kit, Sun Kissed. I usually don't scrap with yellow but when it's paired with gray it's a go! This kit is just gorgeous and so unique!

So, first up I wanted to create a page with lots of layers. Starting from the bottom, I white washed the center of the paper. I misted a doily from my stash and tucked it under the damask paper. Then, using strips of paper(mostly scraps)just layered them onto of each other. As always, I like to make butterflies that match the kit. Hushed Summer are my newest butterflies and you can find them in my Esty,  LittleScrapShop.

For my second page I went more with black, yellow, and a touch of green. I used the leafy vines I made a tutorial  for. You can find that HERE. The gorgeous flower vine came in the Flower Add-on. Using the mist from the Mediums add-on, I was able to get it to match my page perfectly. The Yellow Glitter Glass Butterflies can be found at my Etsy. Also the hand tinted Glitter Glass I used on the leaves can be found HERE.
